Located in the Carnelian Woods townhome complex in Carnelian Bay—make yourself at home in the North Tahoe vacation spot near everything!

You’ll feel refreshed after a vacation at this Relaxing Retreat! Inside or out, enjoy all the views—filtered lake, mountain, and forest—from your living room, balcony, and loft master suite.

Put your feet up and rest on the comfortable sofa while you watch TV by the cozy gas fireplace. Wi-Fi keeps you connected. Or go outside and take in views as you barbeque on the covered balcony, located off the living room.

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare a hearty breakfast, a quick snack, or a home-cooked dinner and the dishwasher makes clean up a breeze. There is seating for two at the breakfast bar and four chairs at the dining table.

The washer and dryer are around the corner, along with a half bath. The main-level bedroom has a trundle bed—two twins—with linens to keep your dreamers snug all night.

Upstairs on the loft, the master suite has a comfortable queen bed and a full bathroom with plenty of bath linens. This is a great vantage point to admire the views from your Relaxing Retreat!

When you’re ready to venture outside, keep everyone entertained in this perfect vacation setting. The Recreation Center / Lodge features a swimming pool, two outdoor hot tubs, locker room saunas, billiards, tennis and bocce courts, and a fitness trail. The complex backs up to Tahoe National Forest, offering miles of hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and other activities year-round.

Your home away from home is in Carnelian Bay, where all North Lake Tahoe is right at your doorstep! Stroll down to Magic Carpet mini golf or check out Waterman’s Landing, located at Patton Landing Beach, a 3-acre, pebbly beach known for stand-up paddling.

To experience Lake Tahoe gambling and nightlife, Incline Village and Nevada's historic casino Crystal Bay are a short drive away, just across the state line.

Closer to home, you'll find superb dining options right in town like Gar Woods Grill and Pier for steaks and fish, the Old Post Office Coffee Shop for hearty breakfasts, and CB's Pizza for hand-tossed pies and beer.

You're only 10-12 miles from three great ski resorts—Northstar, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley. Whether you prefer to downhill or cross-country ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or go sledding or ice skating, North Tahoe is the place for winter fun.

At Squaw Valley, after conquering the slopes, go tubing with the kids or try out the mini snowmobiles at SnoVentures Activity Zone. There are dogsledding tours too!

In the summer, ride the Aerial Tram to High Camp then choose a scenic trail and walk or hike in one of the most breathtaking places in the world! At 8,200 feet elevation, admire the beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains with views of Lake Tahoe and Squaw Valley's legendary granite peaks. In the Aerial Tram building lobby, kids and grownups can have a blast climbing the variety of routes on the 30’ simulated Headwall Climbing Wall. If you dare, learn how to do a front or back somersault at Skyjump; all ages are welcome.

We really enjoyed our week at the condo. Very comfortable for our family of three. The management company was extremely responsive and professional at every point, from booking through the end of our stay. There was a problem with the tennis court access one evening, and the management company responded right away with a solution.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week at the end of August. We were very pleased with the location, accessibility, and how easy it was to stay away from other guests. The only issue we had was with the water heater, and after a call to First Accomodations, it was quickly resolved. I very much recommend staying here!

Carnelian Bay is a beautiful place, more low key than Tahoe City. The townhomes are situated in clusters with lots of open space between the buildings. We had a view of the lake from our balcony along with wooded areas. Because of COVID-19 we did not visit any restaurants or shopping areas. We did walk along the beach and take a couple of short drives. The townhouse was exactly as described and very comfortabe.

Pros: unit was clean, convenient location, quiet, end unit, beautiful views of lake and forest, kitchen well equipped.
Cons: upstairs master bed was really firm and not comfortable to sleep on, downstairs bedroom has a trundle bed but it really would have been nice if there were two twin beds. Lots of scuff marks on walls, it could use a freshening up.

We stayed at the unit for 4 nights and it was great. Nice gas fire place, clean, comfortable unit, good beds and the kitchen was very well equipped. Had more pots, pans and accessories than most. Gas BBQ was high quality and worked great. Loved the view of Lake Tahoe.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very private and quiet end unit condo was up against the forest with birds, squirrels and chipmunks visiting daily. Our 7 year old enjoyed the pool and recreation room. Everything exceeded our expectations and it sure beats staying in a hotel.

The Post Office Café was great for breakfast. The Treetop Adventure Park was an absolute blast for all of us, including the 7 year old. She also caught her first two fish, a 17" and 15" trout at the South Lake Tahoe fish farm.

I highly recommend this beautiful place. The owner and manager were great.

This place has everything needed to have a wonderful stay at Lake Tahoe. The view of the lake of the back patio is nice and since it's an end unit, there is a nice view up into the trees. The condo is comfortable with good furniture and a nice setup for a small family. Great clubhouse with pool, hot tubs, and games. Just a short distance to the lake and other fun activities. We'd stay again in the future.

We stayed in this condo for a full week in late July, just the two of us. The condo was very clean and the kitchen is really fully accomodated with everything you possibly need for simple cooking, even loads of seasonings!
It was nice having the washer and dryer. The down side was that the place could really use some updates, especially in the bathrooms and new paint on the walls to spruce it up. Other than that, a very enjoyable stay.

We had a wonderful stay...the filtered view of the lake through the pines from the balcony is so relaxing...the property is very quiet..the pool area is separated from the condos and you fell like you are in the middle of the forest .will be back

The property was clean, well-equipped and very well-maintained. The staff was very helpful & polite. Trent was very helpful - he even emailed us some good eating places around Carnelian Bay, which was very helpful. The view of the lake though was really small, but that was expected. Otherwise, the property is very nicely located to almost everything one can do in & around Carnelian Bay. Very good overall experience!

We usually stay in unit #155. It is always clean, and everything works well. We've noticed that there has been a lot of maintenance/upgrades to the community center and pool, all very nice.

I would recommend #CW155 in Carnelian Bay, CA. Our family enjoyed a relaxing snowy memorial weekend there. Our daughter played in the snow and made a snowman. The townhouse was clean and well maintained. Carnelian Bay is a beautiful location. Garwoods is less than 1/3rd of a mile away. Kings Beach is a short 10 minute drive. The townhouse was very clean, and it had a nice view of the trees. The only two suggestions I can make is to update the Living room furniture. The tv was very small also. Lastly, the bedroom downstairs had a twin size bed. It really should be at least
a double bed.

We really loved the peace and quiet of this place. The fireplace in our unit (#155) was a plus. You could see Lake Tahoe in the distance in a very picturesque way. We only regretted that the pool closes mid-September, so we couldn't use it the last day. Otherwise, we would definitely recommend our unit.

We thoroughly enjoy our Tahoe vacation each year, and we LOVE CW155! It is cool and clean and quiet. We have been renting CW155 for the first week in July, for the past 7 years. It is in walking distance to the pool, beach, mini golf, hiking, pizza, Garwoods, OPO! It is an easy drive one way to Kings Beach for the fireworks on 7/3, and the other way to Tahoe City for rafting on the Truckee! A wonderful vacation every time!!!

Stayed for a week in mixed weather in August. Management was professional and responsive to some minor maintenance issues. The rec center with hot tubs, pool tables and games came in handy for rainy days. Waterman's landing just down the street is a great place to rent paddleboards.

The place is very nice and has everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms (plus grill, wifi and cable). The location is a bit isolated but close enough to some of the main towns on the north side of lake Tahoe. We are already planning to go back next year.

The cabin is very cosy and the pictures reflect it well.
It was very clean. You could it had just been cleaned when we got there.
The kitchen is well equipped and the bed has a hard but confirmable mattress.
Extra pillows and blankets were available and the towels were good.
The location is very quiet and close to the lake. Other attractions are not far away but you definitely need a car.
I was planning to have some peaceful and quiet time and a place to rest. This cabin was perfect dor this purpose.

I rented this place for a week to work on my dissertation. It was the perfect place for me. Lots of natural light with views into the surrounding woods. It was cozy, clean, and quiet. Everything I needed was there. The master bed wasn't very comfortable but other than that everything met to my satisfaction. I especially loved the gas fireplace and the vaulted ceiling. My only regret was not being there with my husband to enjoy the place and surrounding area with me. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed here for a ski trip. There was plenty of room for everyone. The property was clean and well maintained, and the location is perfect for going to Squaw/Alpine, Northstar, or a number of other local resorts. The only negative is that the heater is somewhat loud when it turns on.

We had two nights here to explore Lake Tahoe. We had a great time. The deck is small for BBQ ing - not enough space for four to eat there, so we had to eat inside. The pool was a short walk away and made a nice place to relax. We rented a pedal boat on the lake.

The only complaint was that when you turn on the light/fan in the lower bath, the sound was extremely loud, needs fixing..other than that we loved it and already have reservations for summer 2008! Very relaxing..quiet end unit..feel like you are in the middle of the forest with a filtered lake view...lots of beautiful birds seen from the balcony. We loved it...swimming pool area great....

We were extremely pleased with the location. The area was very quiet. The unit itself was clean and stocked with all necessities. We also enjoyed the amenities of the complex (i.e. pool, recreation room etc.). We would certainly choose this unit again.

Our stay at Carnelian Bay was very enjoyable. We had a nice view and the surroundings were beautiful. My grandaughter really enjoyed the pool and miniture golf. The townhouse was relaxing and comfortable. We would like to go again.

The location of Unit #155 has a lot to do with how much we enjoy our Tahoe stay.
It is far enough off the highway so that we can enjoy the calm and quiet of the forest, but it is also within walking distance of the pool and some great restaurants! We love it! We'll be back in 2010!

We call this condo the birdhouse because of the wonderful birds you can
observe from the deck...there is a great
partial view of the lake also...since this condo is the on the end, you really
feel the serenity of the is very quiet...we cooked some great meals
in the fully equipped kitchen...we would and will stay again.

Downstairs bathroom fan extremely noisey. Nextdoor neighbors kids could be heard running up and down their stairs late at night.

We have stayed in several of the units and I must say that Unit 155 is by far the nicest. It has very nice, clean and plush carpets in the bedrooms, living and dining room and up the stairs. The mattress in the master bedroom was on the stiff side, but I slept just fine on it. The onsight management has some issues and could use some customer service training but the person I talked to on the phone was great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for condition of property was that there were some scuff marks on the walls in the entry and downstairs bedroom.
