On the entry level you’ll find the cozy living room with a large slate wood-burning fireplace and flat screen TV. Beautiful, rustic décor, updated furnishings, and plenty of natural light add to the ambiance and charm. Put your feet up and listen to tunes on the stereo. Catch up on email or book your next stay with us on the Wi-Fi.

Breathe easy as the wind whispers through the pines while you relax with your favorite beverage on the balcony, marveling at the filtered lake views. Prepare dinner in the well-equipped, updated kitchen, featuring granite countertops, slate backsplash, and stainless-steel appliances. There’s plenty of seating to enjoy your meals at the breakfast bar or nearby dining table.

For your convenience, there’s also a half bath and laundry area on the main floor.

When you’re ready to turn in, the sofa transforms into a comfy full-size sleeper. Or head upstairs to the loft bedroom to stretch out and unwind on the queen bed. There’s an accordion partition for privacy. Wake up refreshed and enjoy a quiet morning with coffee and a book on the bedside chair. This level includes a full bath with a tub/shower combo and plenty of bath linens.

When you’re ready to venture outside, you’ll love this perfect vacation setting. The Recreation Center / Lodge features a swimming pool, two outdoor hot tubs, locker room saunas, billiards, tennis and bocce courts, and a fitness trail. The complex backs up to Tahoe National Forest, offering miles of hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and other activities year-round.

The Honeymooner is in Carnelian Bay, where all North Lake Tahoe is right at your doorstep! Stroll down to Magic Carpet mini golf or check out Waterman’s Landing, located at Patton Landing Beach, a 3-acre, pebbly beach known for stand-up paddling.

To experience Lake Tahoe gambling and nightlife, Incline Village and Nevada's historic casino Crystal Bay are a short drive away, just across the state line.

Closer to home, you'll find superb dining options right in town like Gar Woods Grill and Pier for steaks and fish, the Old Post Office Coffee Shop for hearty breakfasts, and CB's Pizza for hand-tossed pies and beer.

You're only 10-12 miles from three great ski resorts—Northstar, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley. Whether you prefer to downhill or cross-country ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or go sledding or ice skating, North Tahoe is the place for winter fun.

At Squaw Valley, after conquering the slopes, go tubing with the kids or try out the mini snowmobiles at SnoVentures Activity Zone. There are dogsledding tours too!

In every season, the Village at Squaw Valley offers dining, shopping, the Squaw Valley Aerial Tram, and a variety of activities.

In the summer, ride the Aerial Tram to High Camp then choose a scenic trail and walk or hike in one of the most breathtaking places in the world! At 8,200 feet elevation, admire the beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains with views of Lake Tahoe and Squaw Valley's legendary granite peaks. In the Aerial Tram building lobby, kids and grownups can have a blast climbing the variety of routes on the 30’ simulated Headwall Climbing Wall. If you dare, learn how to do a front or back somersault at Skyjump; all ages are welcome.

Our stay was only a couple days, this unit is very cozy with updated amenities and well stocked with linens and kitchens items for convenience. Our only complaint is the HVAC unit is very loud when running. Management company is very thorough with there check in process which us feel comfortable. Definitely would come back to this location for a stay.

The house looks beautiful in the pictures but the pictures don’t do it justice because it’s incredible! The whole process is extremely easy and stress free, the area of Carnelian Bay is absolutely amazing, great places to eat, grocery stores within 5 mins and no casinos which was refreshing. This place is perfect.

If you like the slower pace of the north end, this is your place. Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Property management was very responsive and helpful. Weather was fantastic and we spent a day at Sands Beach.

The accommodations were clean. Everything was in good working order and had been updated. The bed was comfortable enough. The location was excellent away from traffic noise with filtered views down to the lake. The resort pool is amazing. The public beach was beautiful. This was an excellent time of the year to go with no crowds and warm enough to enjoy some sun and gorgeous scenery. Everything in the unit worked. The property management representative was helpful and patient explaining how to get the Television to work. We would definitely stay in this unit again.

Enjoyed our stay in this condo at Carnelian Woods. Well stocked kitchen, clean condo. The bed was very comfortable; the sleeper couch -- not so much. The views are more "mountain" than "filtered lake" but still very nice. Convenient location set well away from the main road and with hiking trails starting right on the property. The pool was great. Would stay again.

The Honeymooner is a great little getaway! Perfect for two to 4 people. Love the location. Wish we had more time to enjoy the property fully. Complex offers hiking trails, par course, pool, 2 hot tubs, ping pong, pool table, sand volley ball and horse shoes. Too much for 2 night trip. Kitchen was a bit small but fully stocked. We will be back.

My stay at The Honeymooner exceeded all expectations! The townhome was very clean and offered a beautiful view from the balcony. I woke each morning to a beautiful sunrise with tons of activity from blue jays and chipmunks. The location was great and the community itself was very safe, comfortable and private. Perfect accommodations for my small family of four for our weekend snow trip! The property was very clean (the cleanest vacation rental I’ve stayed in) and well equipped. I was pleasantly surprised that there was cable TV and plenty of hot water. The property was a short dive to the beach and ski resorts. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Nice, updated unit and very comfortable. The view of the lake through the trees was great. Be sure to check the number of amenity keys and parking passes. I was charged for a missing amenity key. There was only one in the basket when I arrived and I NEVER even took that out to use it. I was traveling alone, so no one else could have removed it. Fortunately, and a bit of back and forth, First Accommodations refunded the $50 charge for the missing key. Good customer service. I will book with them again, but will take inventory on my arrival and report any discrepencies.

My wife and I had a very pleassant stay in Carnelian bay. We would definitely recommend this condo to our friends. We liked the location being close to restraunts and close to the lake. The condo was in a very clean state when we arrived. The staff were helpful as well.

We really enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with the property. For a couples getaway, this was an ideal set up. Parking was easy however there is a long driveway that is steep and could be icy...if it would ever snow! Chains or 4x4 would be required. We were lucky to have dry conditions. The community was extremely quiet which we preferred. We would consider staying here again if it was just the two of us.

The good: Great location, beautiful setting, nicely appointed condo and very clean.

The not so good: Condo was not cleaned until an hour after our 4:00 p.m. arrival time. The clothes washing machine malfunctioned and would not drain properly, though we eventually got it to work after several attempts. Left a note for management company to repair as we checked out.

All in all, it was an enjoyable experience.

Our first stay on this property and we were extremely happy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Made our check in and out very easy. This property is in a lovely setting and very quiet. We stayed in the summer, winter might make the drive up the hill more interesting, Enjoyed 10 days and nights visiting family, friends and the lake!

We chose this property months in advance for my birthday weekend. The week before we found out it was very smoky and we cancelled due to asthma. At the last minute the smoke cleared so we decided to come after all. 3/4 nights were rebooked but we reclaimed the last night. Throughout the back and forth, the company was professional and patient and never got upset with my questions and concerns. The place itself is beautiful, very modern, and would be nice for any season. We took advantage of the hot tub and table tennis at the lodge as well. We would definately stay here again.

We love the location of these condos because they are central to everything and in a gorgeous wooded area. This condo was spectacular! Very nicely updated and designed with attention to detail. Perfect for a couple to relax and enjoy. This condo gets 5+ stars and we highly recommend.

This cozy little place was perfect for my husband and me. It was CLEAN, had all the amenities you'd need in the well stocked kitchen (but who's cooking on vacation??), and it had such a cozy feel. And, the place was SO quiet. It was a great addition to our weekend get-away.
