Description

This lovely two-bedroom, two-bathroom townhome in the Carnelian Woods complex features colorful and eclectic décor. The main living area, with vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan, offers guests an easy space to mingle and move about. Unwind next to the cozy fireplace as you sink in to the cushy sofa (sleeper) and chairs. Watch a DVD, catch up on cable TV news, or unplug with a book or board game. Use the Wi-Fi when you need to get connected.
Take in the forest views and fresh air, sipping your favorite beverage while you barbeque on the covered main-floor deck. Finish meal preparations in the open concept, bright kitchen. White cabinets stand out against the stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher for easy clean up. There’s room for six guests to be seated on tall chairs at the island for dining.
Just around the corner, main floor laundry makes it easy to pack light. There is also a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a window seat for reading, a TV, and full bath.
The loft master bedroom feels very private and features upgraded hardwood furnishings, a king-sized bed, and a big window for plenty of natural light. The full bathroom has a tiled walk-in shower.
When you’re ready to venture outside, keep everyone entertained in this perfect vacation setting. The Recreation Center / Lodge features a swimming pool, two outdoor hot tubs, locker room saunas, billiards, tennis and bocce courts, and a fitness trail. The complex backs up to the Tahoe National Forest, offering miles of hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and other activities year-round.
In Carnelian Bay, all of north Lake Tahoe is right at your doorstep! There are two wonderful beaches and you're only 10-12 miles from three great ski resorts—Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Northstar. Whether you prefer to downhill or cross country ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or go sledding or ice skating, North Tahoe is the place for every winter activity.

To experience Lake Tahoe gambling and nightlife, Nevada's historic casino Crystal Bay is down the road four miles, and Incline Village, also just across the Nevada state line, is only about eight miles away.

Closer to home, you'll find superb dining options right in town like Gar Woods Grill and Pier for steaks and fish, the Old Post Office Coffee Shop for hearty breakfasts, and CB's Pizza for hand-tossed pies and beer.

We have stayed in this unit several times so it is inviting. With this experience here are the pros and cons of the unit: Pros-king size bed; very nice guest room; two full baths; well supplied kitchen; good north shore location between Kings Beach and Tahoe City; quiet. Cons- very complex TV/media operation; ugly mountain bikes locked in living area; steep walk from parking lot to door; narrow view of trees and neighboring condos; and no formal dining area. So decide what is more important and make your decision.

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful condo! It had everything we needed to from a warm and cozy fireplace, a great kitchen to cook our own meals that was stocked with everything we could need and comfortable beds! We enjoyed sitting at the island playing games and the proximity to Garwoods and Tahoe City was just what we needed.

Awesome! We loved the accommodations. Trent our host was great to work with and answered our questions promptly. Local restaurants we enjoyed were: Old Post Office Cafe (for breakfast), Gar Woods, and CB's Pizza.

I've been using First Accommodations since 2012 for all our family trips to Lake Tahoe, and it has always been a pleasant experience. The only issue we had during this recent stay in this property is we lost our hot water an hour early from our checkout time at 10:00 AM. Not that major, but I found it strange. Nevertheless, my family and I always have a great stay in Lake Tahoe.

Very well decorated and comfortable home; kitchen well equipped. Comfortable beds and living room very comfortable w/ plenty of seating for a party of 4 or more. TV took a little time to figure out with the different options; fireplace was not working something you look forward to on a winter night. Overall I would def recommend this townhouse and would reserve again.

This was a wonderful place to stay with my family for a vacation to North Lake Tahoe. The home is located far enough in the trees to feel like your really in the woods but actually just down the road from the main road down the west part of the lake. Close to paddle boarding, Tahoe City and the casinos. Plus, if you don't want to go anywhere, there's an awesome recreation house with an enormous pool, two jacuzzis, table tennis, billiards, bocce ball, sauna, video game room. And a crazy good mini golf place just down the hill.

My friends and I planned a weekend away in Tahoe. We had hikes planned, a moon-lit kayaking trip, and so much more...but instead it rained hard practically ALL weekend. Thankfully we had this beautiful rental to cook, drink some wine, watch movies, play games, and enjoy each other's company. We turned it into a staycation in Tahoe! Couldn't imagine we would have been able to do that if we were cooped up in a hotel room all weekend. Mountain Dream was beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for our trip--rain or shine!

Communication with First Accomodations was quick & easy. We were provided with any requests for assistance in a timely manner.

Located near shops, restaurants, & the beautiful Lake Tahoe, but far enough away from the main street to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the woods. We found our home to be just as depicted in photos & so cozy! The place was very clean & well decorated. We cooked all of our meals at home & were beyond satisfied with the what was in stock.

Don't hesitate to book this place! Highly recommended!

Beautifully decorated , spotlessly clean town house a few minutes from the lake. The development is up a hill, very quiet and residential. The house had top of the line furniture, comfortable bed and brand new kitchen. Perfect for a couple or two couples as the downstairs bedroom had its own bath and a large bed. Balcony was small and furniture a little worn. Wonderful gas fireplace to take the chill off of the cool mornings with a flip of a switch. Pool and hot tub are a drive away but looked nice. Location perfect in Carnelian Bay with restaurants and shopping nearby, quiet part of the lake which we prefer. Overall fabulous experience, no lake view but otherwise a wonderful relaxing home.

The condo was exactly as pictured and as described on VBRO. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. The furniture was clean and comfortable. The only issues were the temperature upstairs (it was uncomfortable, even though we had the overhead fan on). The TV downstairs kept turning off every so many minutes. We would definitely stay there again!

We were very happy with our stay at the condo. It was tastefully decorated, very clean, and it was in close proximity to the activities we wanted to attend. The grounds were also beautiful, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub surrounded by a forest.

We absolutely loved our stay in this charming modern town-home! Location was perfect and not far from the Lake and Squaw Valley. We were staying for the Spartan World Championship. The property was in mint condition and cute decor all around. It was very clean upon arrival. Customer service from First Accommodations was wonderful. They were very timely in responding when I had a question. Would highly recommend!

My two sisters and I enjoyed our stay at the rental. Nice amenities. Very clean, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and nice linens. The bathroom noisy fans were annoying when trying to be quiet and not wake up others. All in alla very nice place to stay.

This condo is so nice. Bathrooms and kitchen have lovely finishes. Only suggestion for kitchen is to provide a coffee grinder. Furniture is top notch and dishes, etc. are very nice. Path down to condo is steep so might be challenging for older folks.
