Discover the treasures of Carnelian Bay in this 4 bedroom, two bath vacation rental just steps away from the great Lake Tahoe! This home can accommodate up to 10 guests and would be ideal for a relaxing family retreat or a getaway with friends.

Beautifully updated living room, with large windows peering into the forest. Beautiful gas fireplace with a mounted smart TV. With warm touches, such as the colorful quilts in the bedrooms and the solid wood dining room table with plenty of space for big dinners every night, you will feel right at home in this charming condo.

You will all want to gather in the great room to cook, read by the fire, dine at the huge table, and watch TV or movies. On a warm sunny day, enjoy a pitcher of iced tea while relaxing on the deck. The great room has a vaulted ceiling, gorgeous fireplace, and sliding glass doors that lead to the balcony outside. The main floor also features a smartly-designed full kitchen and a conveniently located full bath. With the kitchen open to the dining and living rooms, the cook will never miss out on the action with a kitchen that opens right into the dining and living rooms.

All three bedrooms and another full bath are on the entry level. There are two queen bedrooms, one with its own television and access to an outdoor balcony. The master king bedroom also has a balcony and TV, and is attached to a full bath, which can also be accessed from the hall. Beautiful quilts and thoughtful decor will envelop you in every room.

On the upper level, the kids will love sleeping in the four trundle beds with cozy bedding. They will have fun playing in their own space, while being able to peer over the railing at their parents in the great room below. The loft can be their personal playroom for the whole trip, with a DVD player and TV, and lots of board games. Your entire group of up to ten people will have plenty of space where they can hang out, relax, or get a restful night sleep.

It will be a relief to know that the home also comes equipped with a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi for keeping in touch with friends back at home, and cable television.

Carnelian Woods has so much to offer that you will never run out of things to do. Offering tennis courts, a seasonal pool, year-round hot tubs, a clubhouse with a pool table, hiking, biking, and a par course, you will think you are at a private resort! Just a bit further into the Carnelian Bay area, there is a great beach on Lake Tahoe, water sport rentals, fabulous restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a pier, marina for parking your boat, a convenience store for those last minute needs, and a miniature golf course for some fun on a Friday night.

Kings Beach is just three miles up the road and Tahoe City is six miles the other direction, which means you will enjoy being at the center of it all. Skiing is not too far away either, with Alpine, Squaw, and Northstar Ski Resorts all within 12 miles! Crystal Bay, Nevada's historic casinos and nightlife, Incline Village, world-class restaurants, and the recreation center are all only a few miles from the condo.

Nice, cozy place. 8-10 mins walk from the lake. We visited during the winter.
The facilities within the place could be better - had only soap, towels, and toilet rolls. The rest of the toiletries aren't available, so please come prepared.
The living room and the kitchen are a little small for a group of 10 folks.

I like to review homes worthy of one. This home felt very clean and cared for, had the standard amenities you would need (except I could've used a tea kettle which it did not have) and is in close proximity to many commonly needed stores i.e. Safeway and coffee shops. It is a bit of a drive to Downtown Truckee but only a 20 minute drive to Northstar which is huge because if someone can drop you off and pick you up after snowboarding, it is life changing! I found the beds to be very comfy and the heated blankets were a beautiful touch of detail. That grand dining room table was my favorite aspect of the entire home and our family spent a great deal of time gathered around it, playing cards, eating, drinking, taking shots, laughing, watching movies, etc.

The check in/out instructions were to the point and simple and the unit was very close to the parking lot which I loved. The WiFi worked wonderfully and the property managers were quick to respond on the VRBO app with my questions.

One thing I would have appreciated is some hand soap versus bar soap in each of the bathrooms and kitchens but not crucial.

At the end of the day, I would definitely rent this place again. I'm all about homes feeling clean and uncluttered and with decent furniture and design and this place had all of that!

We loved our stay at Carnelian Treasure! The house was sparkling clean, big, modern and comfortable! The beauty of the trails and the closeness to the Lake with its beautiful rock beach made everyday special. It's not our first time at Carnelian Woods and won't be the last!
