Dream White Christmas Family Celebration

There was plenty of room for all and we were able to cook our meals and enjoy eating together. On Christmas Eve it snowed a lot and the view through the large windows was breathtakingly beautiful. We all felt at home here and we could tell it was a place built to celebrate family. We would stay here again. It is a truly lovely place.

Great deck and backyard for outdoor lounging. Had issues with cell connection and a representative drove to the house to ensure we got in - much appreciated. Lots of bear activity so enjoy the experience but heed the precautions.

Ski Trip with Friends

Super close to Homewood Ski Resort and only a 30 minute drive to Palisades Ski Resort. The place was super clean, owner was quick to respond and would totally recommend to anyone in the future. Would have loved if the fooseball table had the ball but alas, great stay all in all.

Lots of great amenities such as a high chair, pack n play, gates for all of the stairs, and 1000 piece puzzles. Only suggestion I would make would be to update the sofa bed downstairs. First Accommodations was also incredibly helpful and compassionate when one of our cars broke down and we had to have a late check out.

There was so much space for everybody to play, relax, and enjoy time together. Yet plenty of bedrooms for everyone to retreat to. Everything was clean, organized, and inviting. We were especially grateful for the two coffee machines, so that there would be enough coffee for everyone in the morning at once. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and unique. The rental company was responsive and accommodating, and we would definitely come back here again with our friends or family!

Annual Family Weekend

We had a bear visit two vehicles because they were left unlocked, no big damage though. And then we saw 2 bears walking down the road. Great time!
Lovely Family Friendly House

The kitchen was so spacious and well stocked. Everything was clean and well maintained. The backyard was perfect for the kids to play in. There were lots of games and puzzles, although we couldn’t find the ball for the foosball table. We had never stayed in this area of Tahoe before, but we loved being so close to the Lake, Homewood and a sledding area. We would definitely stay here again!

There is washing machine downstairs and there are plenty of board games for everyone to enjoy. Home is in a good location, very quiet and not too far from dinning, grocery store, Savemart about 6 miles away. There is also a beach walking distance from the home.Easy to check in and out. Only negative was that a bear broke into one of our cars parked in the driveway, a bag of chips was left in the vehicle so we assume that’s what it was going after, broke a window and bent the door. Other than that everything was great, family had a blast!

For thirty years we have rented on the West Shore and RefNest is our favorite. Not only is it a beautiful home and yard but the owners seem to recognize the little things that make a visit comfortable— like plenty of empty space in the pantry so we can put our groceries away and a trash compactor so the garbage doesn’t overflow and TWO refrigerators. It’s much appreciated.

Loved that there was a space for the kids to play and a big great room for the adults to hang out. The only setback was not getting approved for early check in until the day of. It would have been nice to know if we could check in a little early the day before as some were traveling from a several hours away. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

The house had plenty of room and the kitchen was fully stocked to accommodate all 13 of us. More than enough rooms and beds for the whole family. The island in the kitchen is huge and was highlight of ours stay! We will definitely rent from this property management company again. Thank you for everything!!

The kids loved their own bedroom with bunk beds and foosball, the kitchen is very well equipped, the living room area is bright and very spacious, and the five bedrooms in the basement give ample room for everybody to find some rest. And the Homewood ski resort is very close (5 minutes drive).

It was nice to have rooms with bunk beds for the kids to share. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and it was very organized. Definitely would recommend this place for groups. The only downside was that we were not in walking distance to accessing the beach.

This home has great common spaces but also room for privacy. The long dining table helped us enjoy meals together and everyone commented on how functional the large kitchen was. The grassy backyard with a hammock and chair swing were a plus too. The walk to Chambers Beach and tennis courts was easy. Everyone loved our choice.

Lake Tahoe 6 bedroom

The kitchen was large enough for many cooks, and feeding children. The yard was well cared for and fun for the family to be together. Fabulous House

We had 8 adults and 4 children (4 yrs and under) and there was lots of room for everyone. We especially appreciated the baby gates at the each of the stairs, high chair, and plenty of seating for meals. The kitchen was fully stocked. Everything we needed was there. We would highly recommend this property to any large group.

The house is great for large groups, plenty of beds and space for kids, and wonderfully stocked for large group dinners. They were even able to extend our reservation a night when the I-80 closed from a storm!! All around a great experience with this fabulous location right next to Homewood.

The Ref-Nest is located in the highly desirable neighborhood of Chambers Landing on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, just past Homewood and Homewood Ski Resort. With six bedrooms and three bathrooms, this spacious, one of a kind home sleeps 16!
Custom built by owner/contractor, you’ll have 4000 square feet of space in this cabin, designed with large family gatherings in mind. The expansive great room features a large river rock wood-burning fireplace, comfortable furnishings for TV viewing, reading, and table games. Wi-Fi keeps you connected. Off the great room, the outdoor deck features a gas grill and is a fantastic place for summer dining, bird watching, or sunbathing.
The fully equipped modern kitchen features a large island with granite countertops and seating for six, a dining table that accommodates ten, and abundant cabinet space including a pantry.
The master suite with king bed has plenty of room for additional young children and a full bathroom next door. All the above are on the entry level of the home.
The downstairs includes five bedrooms: one king, two queen bedrooms, and two bunkrooms with four beds each. One bunkroom has a game area with TV and foosball. There are two full bathrooms, a common vanity with double sinks, and a washer and dryer. An exterior door leads to the beautifully landscaped backyard.
In winter, the driveway accommodates four cars. In the summer, you may also park on the street and the side of the house. The garage is available when the ping-pong table is not in use.
In summer months, the cabin is a short walk to our 'members only' private beach at Chambers Landing, known for its pristine views of Lake Tahoe. Visitors can also enjoy the public sandy beach and historic restaurant, bar, and pier at Chambers Landing. Transportation is made easy by catching a ride on the shuttle service.
Your home away from home is close to Meeks Bay, with a terrific sandy beach and paddleboard and boat rentals. Located on National Forest Land, the Meeks Bay shoreline is popular for its beautiful scenery, clean beaches, and easy access. The area offers a high concentration of recreation opportunities including swimming, biking, boating and hiking into the nearby Desolation Wilderness.
You won’t want to miss the icon of Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay, a short drive away. Emerald Bay State Park boasts 360-degree picturesque views that encompass Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Eagle Falls, and Vikingsholm Castle.
Just a few miles down the road you’ll find Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. The Magical West Shore has great options for whatever you fancy: snowshoeing, snowboarding, downhill or cross-country skiing, sledding, and more!
Interested dining options? We recommend the Fire Sign Cafe for breakfast and lunch. The local market is convenient for a quick stop and West Shore Pizza is sure to please.
To experience all the gambling and nightlife that the Lake Tahoe offers, South Lake Tahoe/Stateline is about a 30-minute drive.
