Peaceful Escape [1]
Beautiful Lake Tahoe and Beyond
Reviewed on 2026-06-12 by James W. , Blaine, MN USA great location for us to stay and take our daily excursions. My late wife first found a VRBO for a stay in our home state of Minnesota. It was during the pandemic and we hadn’t traveled a lot but the home we stayed in was comfortable, clean and well maintained. We were spoiled. Fast forward to the beginning of June 20026. I had looked at a number of locations near Lake Tahoe and settled on Peaceful Escape. It was a choice I would make again. Very nice, clean and comfortable also.
We planned day trips for each of our four full days. First Truckee and Donner State park. Tuesday was our drive around the entire lake. We took our time and it took us about 5 hours. Wednesday we drove to Reno and Virginia City returning to the lake on the east shore. Finally Thursday we went to Sand Harbor State Park and ventured out on a two person Kayak. Every day was a success and we knew we had a comfortable place to return to.
I’d like to go into much more detail but running out of space. We had a great trip and stay.

Anniversary Destination
Reviewed on 2024-10-20 by william v. , Grand Rapids, MI United StatesMy wife and I were married on the lake 25 years ago. We've ventured back to Tahoe ~ 15 times since then and have stayed in Carnelian Woods many of those times. Peaceful Escape offers the best views of the lake of any of those places. Other things we totally enjoyed were the very well appointed kitchen; the unit being clutter free, the fun and funky decor as well as the clean, super comfortable beds and furniture. You'll love it!

A highly enjoyable stay
Reviewed on 2024-03-15 by Hugo A. , Oakland, CA United StatesPeaceful Escape lived up to its name as a condo was perfect for my 5 day stay - very quiet (with minimal noise from neighbours), equipped as described and with a lovely fireplace that made it homey and cozy, and just right for unwinding and relaxing whilst taking in the fantastic views. It's also close to the car park, making unloading and loading when arriving and leaving super easy. And management (by Trent) is very professional and very quick to respond to any queries. A highly enjoyable stay - thank you!

NICE ACCOMODATIONS
Reviewed on 2023-07-23 by MARINA K. , LA HABRA, CA United StatesHad problems with refrigerator keeping food cold causing beef to rot, milk to curdle. This was truly unfortunate for us and increased our expenses. Rated 3 stars because of this. Rental process was easy and seamless.
